ECO-conscious collection
This collection is named after the Clark International Airport, located 80 kilometers northwest of Manila. This stylishly designed airport serves Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, and to an extent, Metro Manila with international and domestic flights. Deriving its name from the former American Clark Air base, which was the largest overseas base of the United States Air Force until its closure in 1991, the airport has seen many different incarnations over the years. The latest design, though, has far surpassed the others which have come before and was nominated as a finalist for the airport category of the 2021 Prix Versailles awards, and was recognized as the laureate of the Prix Versailles' 2023 list of the World's Most Beautiful Airports.
ECO-FRIENDLY RPET polyester
To produce this eco-conscious collection, we created high-quality ECO-FRIENDLY fabrics manufactured using RPET polyester made from multiple used plastic bottles that ordinarily end up in a landfill or the ocean. Plastic bottles were processed into flakes, then melted down, re-spun into yarn, and ultimately woven into a variety of different fabrics. This groundbreaking method is one that rejects the ethos of 'fast fashion,' and instead offers a vision for the future in how we should, and need to create things in order to better protect the environment, and manage climate change.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
One of the things that really bothers us here at RIVACASE is the continuance of certain companies to use wasteful and unsustainable styles of packaging. In the pursuit of short term profits, this lazy method creates a huge amount of waste and uses up vast amounts of oil in the production of plastics that ultimately often end up in our oceans. It really is a lose-lose situation. We instead believe in sustainable packaging, and, in our case, we use 100% eco-friendly kraft paper and print with naturally derived soy ink, so that we reduce the hugely harmful effects of plastic waste.
100% eco-friendly kraft paper
We use 100% eco-friendly kraft paper to produce packaging for our eco-conscious collections. Kraft paper degrades naturally within a few weeks, decomposing just like leaves that fall off a tree. It leaves no impact on the environment, as kraft paper can be recycled for use in new packaging. This is the kind of method that will have a dramatic effect upon our oceans and natural environment. The huge amounts of plastic that end up in our seas cause massive issues for wildlife and often end up going into the food chain. 100% eco-friendly kraft paper does none of these things, and is also lovely to handle.
Printed with soy ink
As an eco-conscious manufacturer, we have also extensively researched the printing process, including interviewing and visiting our suppliers to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of sustainability. It’s for this reason that we have specifically decided to use soy-based ink in packaging printing. This means that we are making sure that at every stage of the process we are maintaining our socially and environmentally conscious approach and are not allowing shortcuts to be made by other suppliers further along the chain.
This premium Clark series includes backpacks, bags, and sleeves. It is an eco-conscious collection manufactured using ECO-FRIENDLY RPET polyester made from multiple used plastic bottles that may otherwise have ended up as landfill or in the oceans. The Clark Collection is a fusion— a connection—creating a new reality. The dependable, time-tested PU material merges seamlessly with the pleasing texture of the fabric, revealing the golden sand dunes within. In crafting this collection, our aim was to amalgamate the comfort and practicality of a business-oriented line with modesty, reliability, status, and confidence, while infusing a sophisticated inner world through handy pockets and details. When you choose the Clark series, you gain a trustworthy companion and assistant for the daily carrying of gadgets and accessories. The contrasting lining facilitates quick identification of your belongings in your backpack/bag, with ample pockets to keep everything at your fingertips. "Connection" serves as the collection's primary theme, represented by elements such as water depicted with an inverted triangle and earth manifested through the color of the lining. The interplay of opposing materials is evident, including artificial leather versus fabric, metal versus plastic, and the juxtaposition of deep shades like black graphite against golden sand tones. The collection seamlessly blends the three aspects of business, functionality, and comfort.
eco-friendly water-repellent material
With all of our bags these days, it is absolutely essential to ensure that the water stays out, and your things stay dry. With the vast number of incredibly sophisticated but also delicate electronic devices we carry around with us, it is paramount to make sure that we prevent any unwanted moisture from getting in and causing disruption to our daily lives. That is why we have made sure that this Clark collection comes with its own eco-friendly water-repellent material so that all your items remain safe and dry no matter what the weather is outside on your way into work.
Protective waterproof zipper
The waterproof zipper protects the laptop compartment of this bag to offer that extra heightened level of protection against water damage. Often cheaply made and poorly constructed bags, or even simply the standard bags and sleeves available on the market, do not provide this kind of protection. Given that this is the location where water can most obviously and easily access the bag, we at RIVACASE deem that a ridiculous oversight, and so we wanted with this Clark range to ensure that the bags were completely water-tight such that you could go about your day with the confidence you need to ensure you are getting the best out of yourself and really maximizing your potential and the opportunities that come your way.
High-quality metal hardware
The high-quality metal hardware of this Clark range makes it really stand out. We all know the difference between a bag that has clearly been constructed with care, using good materials, and one that hasn't. One bag the zips move seamlessly, and your hand easily grips the puller as it glides along the zip, and the other stops and starts as you jerk your way to eventually closing the bag. A waterproof zipper and water-resistant fabric give added protection. The contrasting soft fleece lining adds an extra element of luxury. Inner corner flap-over protectors are made to securely fix laptop corners and protect them from accidental bumps. Finally, dual zipper pulls enable quick and easy access.
