ECO-FRIENDLY RPET polyester

To produce this eco-conscious collection, we created high-quality ECO-FRIENDLY fabrics manufactured using RPET polyester made from multiple used plastic bottles that ordinarily end up in a landfill or the ocean. Plastic bottles were processed into flakes, then melted down, re-spun into yarn, and ultimately woven into a variety of different fabrics. This groundbreaking method is one that rejects the ethos of 'fast fashion,' and instead offers a vision for the future in how we should, and need to create things in order to better protect the environment, and manage climate change.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

One of the things that really bothers us here at RIVACASE is the continuance of certain companies to use wasteful and unsustainable styles of packaging. In the pursuit of short term profits, this lazy method creates a huge amount of waste and uses up vast amounts of oil in the production of plastics that ultimately often end up in our oceans. It really is a lose-lose situation. We instead believe in sustainable packaging, and, in our case, we use 100% eco-friendly kraft paper and print with naturally derived soy ink, so that we reduce the hugely harmful effects of plastic waste.

100% eco-friendly kraft paper

We use 100% eco-friendly kraft paper to produce packaging for our eco-conscious collections. Kraft paper degrades naturally within a few weeks, decomposing just like leaves that fall off a tree. It leaves no impact on the environment, as kraft paper can be recycled for use in new packaging. This is the kind of method that will have a dramatic effect upon our oceans and natural environment. The huge amounts of plastic that end up in our seas cause massive issues for wildlife and often end up going into the food chain. 100% eco-friendly kraft paper does none of these things, and is also lovely to handle.

Printed with soy ink

As an eco-conscious manufacturer, we have also extensively researched the printing process, including interviewing and visiting our suppliers to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of sustainability. It’s for this reason that we have specifically decided to use soy-based ink in packaging printing. This means that we are making sure that at every stage of the process we are maintaining our socially and environmentally conscious approach and are not allowing shortcuts to be made by other suppliers further along the chain.

The side compression strap comes with a sturdy buckle, which not only makes the travel case easy to carry, but also can be used for hanging.
